- Boreal Chorus Frog
Why Boreal Chorus, you ask? Translated literally, ‘Boreal’ means Northern and ‘Chorus’ meaning group of singers.
My home-studio is located in South Eastern Manitoba on 5 tree filled acres of paradise where I live with my husband, two dogs and one lizard. Daily visitors come to our backyard to drink from the pond; build nests in the cattails; or to eat the wild plumbs, raspberries and strawberries growing here. Spring time finds our yard filled by the songs of tiny little tree frogs called the Boreal Chorus Frog. I thought nothing would be more fitting than the song of the Northern forest for my studio name. Our pond is also great nursery for the tadpoles of the Spring Peeper, Gray Tree Frog, the Wood Frog, the Leopard Frog, and the Canadian Toad.
Below are photos taken of my home-studio and some of the critters and sights that inspire me.
